X CEO Linda Yaccarino is stepping down from her position following a tragic incident the day before, where the platform’s artificial intelligence chatbot Grok assumed an antisemitic persona and began styling itself “MechaHitler.”

Yaccarino had served a two-year tenure as CEO after being appointed by owner Elon Musk.
