Apex Fusion Launches Vector Blockchain With Instant Finality
Blockchain infrastructure provider Apex Fusion announced the upcoming launch of Vector, a Cardano-aligned, high-performance blockchain tailored for institutional Web3 applications. Designed for enterprises, Vector claims to offer significantly faster transaction finality than other blockchains.
Slated to debut at the upcoming Rare Evo conference, the Vector testnet is presented as the first Cardano-derived blockchain to achieve independently verified instant transaction finality, ensuring transaction irreversibility. Key architect Duncan Coutts highlighted this as a significant advancement.
Vector utilizes a UTxO-based model, common in Cardano, but purportedly optimized for institutional demands. Independent testing by experts Duncan Coutts (Well Typed) and Peter Thompson/Neil Davies (Predictable Network Solutions) confirms Vector achieves finality in under 13 seconds for 99% of transactions under standard conditions – 10x faster finality than Cardano’s mainnet.
“Vector shows how the UTxO model can evolve to meet institutional demands without compromising its foundational strength.”

Promising enhanced security and performance for blockchain infrastructure, Vector additionally offers considerable operational benefits for financial institutions by enabling “real-time settlement.” This capability aims to lower operational risk and deliver immediate transaction confirmation for compliance, according to Apex Fusion Foundation leadership.
Compared to emerging layer-2 solutions targeting finality times, such as Sony’s Soneium “Fast Finality Layer,” Vector’s reported performance represents a substantial improvement in transaction speed.
To further support institutional adoption, Apex Fusion is pursuing MiCA (Markets in Crypto-Assets) regulatory compliance within the European Union. The foundation already secured approval for token classification from Swiss regulator FINMA and is prepared to apply for EU regulatory status.
“For blockchains, it reduces the risk of chain reorganizations and double-spending, enhancing security and reliability.”
“For financial institutions, instant finality enables real-time settlement, lowers operational risk, and improves compliance by providing clear and immediate confirmation of transactions.”
