Edwin Launches AI Terminal for Simplified DeFi Access
On-chain data provider Edwin has introduced an AI terminal designed to simplify interactions with Decentralized Finance (DeFi). The tool aims to integrate chatbot functionality with cryptocurrency wallets, enabling users to perform transactions through a conversational interface.
Edwin, an AI interface layer for DeFi operational since early 2025, announced its AI terminal’s public rollout. The platform emphasizes making DeFi “as easy as chatting,” according to an exclusive Cointelegraph report. Users can now connect browser wallets like Phantom or MetaMask directly to the AI interface, allowing for real-time transaction recommendations and execution.
Conversation-Driven DeFi
“When you’re ready, it builds the transaction and prompts you to sign it. It’s fully non-custodial, secure, and works right from your browser,” said Liran Markin, Edwin’s Co-founder and CEO.
Edwin’s terminal integrates deep DeFi capabilities with a user-friendly chat interface, offering Core functionalities such as token swaps and yield optimization without navigating complex decentralized app ecosystems.
Democratizing DeFi Access
Markin highlighted the project’s mission to onboard new crypto users by simplifying DeFi adoption, stating, “What sets Edwin apart is how naturally it blends deep DeFi capabilities with a simple chat interface. Most projects stop at wallet connection — we go further by integrating across protocols and letting users actually do things on-chain through conversation. It’s not just easier, it’s a new mental model for how people access crypto.”
The new terminal ensures complete self-custodial control, as users retain full control over their keypairs and sign every transaction themselves.
Innovative and Secure
Commenting on the innovation, ChainGPT Investment Director Tomer Warschauer Nuni noted, “Edwin is totally new. It represents a ‘total shift in how people can interact with DeFi entirely.'[…] Although with Edwin, the key detail is that users retain custody and sign every transaction themselves.”
“I’d still want to see external audits and adversarial testing before going in heavy, but conceptually, it’s totally in the right zone.”
Technical Approach
The Edwin AI terminal operates off-chain to optimize security and performance. “We send the transactions directly to the supported protocols,” Markin explained. Currently, the platform integrates across networks including Solana, Base, Meteora, Jupiter, Uniswap, MaldaChain, BNB Chain, Arbitrum, Hyperliquid, DEX Screener, and their respective APIs.
Edwin connects conversational AI models like ChatGPT and LangChain to multiple on-chain protocols, enabling users to access DeFi services through natural language commands.
