ETH ETF Flows Exceed BTC as Institutional Capital Rotates In
Inflows into US spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs) tracking Ethereum (ETH) have surpassed those for Bitcoin (BTC), marking a significant shift in institutional investor behavior, according to new research from Swissblock.
Diverging ETF Trends
Contrary to the three consecutive days of net outflows totaling around $285 million observed in the Bitcoin ETF space, ETH funds have seen sustained inflows, most recently exceeding $500 million daily, UK investment firm Farside Investors noted.
Swissblock summarized the divergence: “ETH flows are accelerating. BTC flows are stabilizing.”
Structural Shift in Crypto Allocation
The crypto market insight firm stated the rotation represents more than a short-term speculative trend.
“ETH Spot ETFs just posted their largest sustained inflows since launch. We’ve moved from Disbelief—institutions waiting on the sidelines—to Conviction, where flows now align with rising Impulse,” Swissblock commented.
“ETF demand and structural momentum are syncing. The rotation engine is active. ETH is leading.”
This rotation signals capital moving from BTC to ETH, viewed by analysts as part of a larger narrative where ETH is emerging as a potential leader in the current crypto bull market phase.
A Broader Market Context
The ETH-led movement gains traction amidst consolidation in the broader market. While BTC dominance surged back toward 63%, the leading cryptocurrency remains largely sideways, below the $120,000 threshold which analysts cite as a critical support level.
Swissblock emphasized the significance of the shift determined by more than just price movements.
“This is not just about price — it’s about capital behavior,” the firm concluded.
“ETF demand confirms what we’re seeing in momentum & structure: ETH is rotating into leadership as the next leg of the cycle unfolds.”
