Coinbase is introducing its first credit offering, the Coinbase One Card, which will provide up to 4% bitcoin rewards on everyday purchases.

Announced at the 2025 State of Crypto Summit in New York, the card marks a significant move toward practical bitcoin integration into daily financial activities.

The collaboration with American Express brings the card to U.S. users this fall exclusively to Coinbase One subscribers.

Earning Structure

The Coinbase One Card provides 2-4% bitcoin cash back, with base rewards starting at 2% and increasing based on platform asset holdings. Higher-value subscribers qualify for enhanced rates.

At the card’s unveiling, the company highlighted its premium physical design featuring Genesis Block text from Bitcoin’s origins.

Strategic Shift

This marks a pivot for Coinbase from traditional crypto trading tools toward integrated everyday financial products. The partnership leverages Amex’s secure payment systems, travel protections, and customer benefits.

Subscription Requirements

Unlike the 2020 Visa debit offering, the new card requires Coinbase One membership at either the $29.99/month or $4.99-$49.99/year tier level.
