Institutional blockchain infrastructure provider Digital Asset secured $135 million in funding through a strategic investment round led by DRW Venture Capital and Tradeweb Markets. Financial institutions including Goldman Sachs and Citadel Securities, alongside crypto-focused investors like Paxos and Polychain Capital, participated in the round.

The funding aims to accelerate adoption of institutional and decentralized finance applications on Digital Asset’s Canton Network.

Canton Network Highlights

Canton is a permissionless layer-1 blockchain offering configurable privacy and compliance tailored for financial institutions. The new capital will support efforts to integrate “billions” of real-world assets (RWAs) into the network.

The network has already facilitated over 350 simulated institutional transactions in areas like tokenized assets and securities lending, involving major players including Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, and DTCC.

“Canton is already actively supporting numerous asset classes… and this raise will accelerate onboarding even more real-world assets, finally making blockchain’s transformative promise an institutional-scale reality.”
— Yuval Rooz, Co-founder and CEO, Digital Asset

Recent Institutional Pilots

Digital Asset recently completed pilot projects with DTCC for U.S. Treasury Collateral Network and with Euroclear, World Gold Council, and Clifford Chance tokenizing gold and bonds on the network.

Growing RWA Market

The real-world assets market has seen precipitous growth in 2025, surging over 260% to surpass $23 billion in total valuation, driven by increasing regulatory clarity.
