League of Kingdoms, a long-running blockchain massively multiplayer online real-time strategy (MMORTS) game, is evolving into a multi-game ecosystem called Arena-Z, with a pair of additional games launching soon alongside new tokens and an ecosystem fund.
By the end of the quarter, the ecosystem will welcome “League of Kingdoms Chronicle” (a dungeon-crawling RPG supporting NFT heroes) and “League of Kingdoms Hunters” (an idle RPG boosting player progression). Both are in beta testing.
“We’re evolving from a single game into a gaming ecosystem with deep Asian roots,” 3MERGED COO Han Yoo told Decrypt. “The future is about connected gaming universes where your progress never stops.”
All three games run on the Arena-Z Chain, a network powered by Ethereum layer-2 Optimism tech, designed for unified on-chain progression. Blockchain elements are optional bonuses enabling “deeper experiences.”
A new token, A2Z, replaces LOKA (swap commencing July 28, 1:20 ratio). It will fuel cross-game rewards and the broader ecosystem, including externally developed games. A separate token, HT, powers League of Kingdoms Hunters.
In a $20 million move, Arena-Z has launched an ecosystem fund to encourage developers to build games and apps for its platform.
“We’re keen to support builders enhancing the Web3 player experience,” Yoo said. “Our Asian roots give access to studios bridging Web2 quality with Web3 innovation.”
