Iconic DeLorean Partnering with Patrick Stewart for On-Chain Car Marketplace
The DeLorean Motor Company, resurrected after four decades, is launching a unique on-chain car marketplace powered by the Sui blockchain.
Patrick Stewart, renowned actor and star of the “Star Trek” franchise, has signed on as a global ambassador. Stewart featured in a 60-second promotional video titled “A new frontier awaits…”, expressing enthusiasm for the automotive evolution representing the DeLorean brand.
DeLorean Labs, the company’s Web3 division, is spearheading this initiative.
The DeLorean Marketplace tokenizes build slots for the upcoming electric vehicle, the DeLorean Alpha 5.
Build Slot Tokenization
Customers purchasing build slots receive NFTs, which serve as credits toward the future cost of a DeLorean Alpha 5 EV. According to DeLorean Labs’ chief brand officer Cameron Wynne, these slots “advance our commitment to transparency and security, giving our community direct access to the future of vehicle ownership.”
$2,500 is required per slot. Lower-numbered slots may grant priority access.
The tokenization process allows users to trade these build slots on the marketplace.
