Self-destruct crypto PC: Layer-3 gaming protocol B3, developed on Ethereum’s Base network by former Coinbase employees, has acquired gaming PC manufacturer Andromeda Insights. The deal aims to control the entire gaming stack—protocol, games, and hardware.
Their first collaboration product, the B3PC, is a gaming PC tailored for crypto applications, featuring unique security. Notably, it includes a self-destruct drive that can be erased via secure digital commands or physical high-voltage shock to NAND flash chips, along with integrated hardware wallet capabilities, encryption, on-chain game support, and offline transaction modes.
B3 co-founder Daryl Xu stated that meeting demands of high-performance gaming—such as real-time rendering and AI integration—requires hardware purpose-built for future crypto and AI gaming, which the B3PC aims to fulfill. Preorders are available now with delivery expected Q1 2026. B3’s protocol currently supports 80+ games and launched its native token in February.
Avalanche Battle Pass: Avalanche has introduced a free-to-mint NFT, the Avalanche Battle Pass, created by Ava Labs and Playfull. It aims to unify the Avalanche gaming ecosystem and reward cross-game participation, available via Magic Eden.
Players mint the NFT, register it on Playfull’s platform, and earn rewards—such as in-game NFTs and AVAX—by engaging with participating games. Supported titles include Off the Grid, MapleStory N, Spellborne, and DeFi Kingdoms.
Ava Labs Gaming Lead Parker Heath described the pass as an “on-chain watering hole” connecting disparate gaming communities across Avalanche’s Layer 1 chains. Despite recent challenges for blockchain gaming, Avalanche games show strong engagement, with examples like Off the Grid reporting 300k+ daily users and MapleStory N attracting 770k+ since its May launch.
